Hatch Early Learning Centre has been purposefully built to support our teaching methodology. Hatch is contemporary, functional and comfortable and encourages activity, individuality and growth through experience.
The Centre is a safe space that incorporates natural, sustainable elements in its design. Our outdoor area encourages exploration and discovery in a challenging while safe environment, incorporating our values of learn, care and respect our earth’s resources.
Our Centre has been designed to include separate rooms for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers, however their will be opportunities provided for interaction between age groups.
For children that join us in the nursery they will experience primary caregiving where we cater for 12 tamariki. We will provide consistency for children and families, which builds a trusting relationship, helping to make the transition into care easier.
Your child’s primary caregiver will take the time to get to know your child, learning, observing and understanding their rituals to continue their daily routines as best they can.
During this time in a child’s life, wonderful intellectual, social, and emotional changes take place.
With this in mind, our toddler room supports a maximum group size of 24 tamariki and has higher teacher to child ratios to ensure care and support are provided to these busy investigators.
From four-years-old children will be encouraged to participate in group experiences in preparation for school. We work in a partnership with families to support our senior preschoolers in preparation for their transition to primary school.
We work in closely with schools to ensure a smooth and easy transition for parents and children. Our Preschool Room caters for a maximum group size of 20- 24 tamariki.
Our offering makes it easy for parents, as we appreciate how busy parent life can be.
All children will be provided with healthy morning and afternoon meals, freshly prepared onsite, along with nappies and wipes, which are included in our daily fee.
